Horizontal or vertical stripes? Sailor-style or multicolored? Striped pieces are a staple of any chic spring and summer wardrobe, whether in the city or at the seaside.
I’ve seen some super cool stripes at the Saint Laurent, Sonia Rykiel and Dries Van Noten shows. But polka dots are in no way inferior to stripes when it comes to style. Black on a white background, white on a black background: by Céline and Carolina Herrera, fun and classy, ladylike yet girlish. And flowers? A must-have in spring…but no romanticism: flowers are big and very colorful! Like those by McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana.
