A/W 2017-18 PALETTES AND TRENDS

On this autumn’s runways color is pure energy, adding a little flavor to even the most classic pieces. Combinations range from total look to rainbow look: anything is allowed to cast off winter’s greyness.

Yellow

The star for the third season in a row, but livelier and more intense in the shades of Lemon Curry, spicy and exotic, Golden Olive, a tribute to greenery, color of the year 2018, and Golden Lime, tastefully acid. By Jil Sander, Hermés and Alberta Ferretti.

Nude

Camel coupled with pink to create a new tone, nude, in all its sexy shades: butter, the actual nude color, very pale and light; toast, more caramel and intense; copper tan, a mix between orange and pink, which only brunettes can pull off; and otter, which is a mud brown shade purged of green. Retro-styled outfits, light-weight fabrics and precious details: this color is very feminine, sweet, delicate and also a bit vintage….

Purple

There is Navy Peony, blueberry purple, totally detox and beneficial; Tawny Port, tannic, intensely red like a good Portuguese wine; Royal Lilac, the real purple, nearly liturgical garment-like in its most intense hues; and Primrose Pink, the typical teenage pink-lilac shade. Red

Or rather scarlet: royal-looking, pure elegance and sensuality, for those who love not going unnoticed. Don’t overdo it: choose soft silhouettes and precious fabrics, which highlight the color’s richness and fullness. By Chloè, Fendi and Prada.

Grey

If you’re not a huge fan of bright colors, here are two sound alternatives: the comeback of grey, an elegant and neutral color.
