How to organize a First Communion party

Ines took over the planning of the party held on May 7, coordinating and supervising every single detail of her special day surrounded by the love of her family.

She was brilliantly assisted by Giulia Risaliti, wedding and event planner, who created an elegant, beige and pink setting,  which fitted perfectly in with the style of our house and garden. Drinks and cake were served in the garden under a magnificent tent, the table decorated with fruit and cake stands like in Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette film. Lunch was served inside the house, all dishes well-prepared and presented by Rossella Tomada and her staff.

Of course, Ines picked a gourmet menu of her choice, a very delicate and wonderfully balanced fish and strawberry-based menu:  strawberry and Franciacorta wine risotto, ravioli with sea bass sauce and Catalan-style scampi with seasonal fruit and vegetables. There is no need to say that the cake was a Meringue Cloud with Strawberries  by Pasticceria Nuovo Mondo. We used my beautiful and colorful Ginori china service to set the table. A violin and harp duo played very soft music.

Even the outfits, ours and those of our guests, were masterly chosen- a symphony of pink and blue- without being planned out in advance! I wore a powder pink outfit by Forte_ Forte found at Babylon Bus, with ton-sur-ton shoes and bag by Valentino. Ines  wore a white Monnalisa dress, while José was dressed in a suit with vest by Il gufo, both outfits bought at Minimoda
