To celebrate the birthday of Manfredi, a friend of José Manuel, his mother Francesca and I planned a wonderful Harry Potter party, the perfect theme for the Halloween season. Il Giardino delle Fate – the location we chose for this early-autumn party – was transformed, with Sandra’s invaluable help, into a shelter for owls, decorated with spell books, candles, old furniture and large mirrors. Our children were changed into little wizards by the entertainment team Montefantasy from Montecatini: the boys into Harry with cloaks, hats and eyeglasses and the girls into sweet Hermione. Balloons and party decorations were provided by Baloon Express and the cakes by Tazza d’oro: delicious to eat and decorated with all the Harry Potter symbols.
