Outfit

Versatile!

Cropped pants: beautiful, comfortable and very trendy. But the dilemma is always the same: what shoes do I wear? The answer is simpler than you think: you can wear flat lace-ups, ballerina flats, sneakers…. But for an extra touch of femininity, I picked blue velvet ankle boots with stiletto heels, paired with check pants and large Carven coat, for a sophisticated, not in the least casual style. But change look if you wear sneakers!

British Crossbreeding

An innovative Prince of Wales check suit by Alberto Biani, with a fitted single-breasted jacket and classic, ankle-length pants, jazzed up with the accessories. The first high-fashion-content touch is the turban hat by Ouì, designed by Silvia and Sara, which adds a Caribbean-style flavor to the classic, British-looking outfit. The sock-shoes by Zara are the second trendy touch: dark grey-colored, ultra-feminine, they create a pleasant contrast to the “working-girl” pants.

Wearing the sun

Another great summer has gone by, the warm autumn sun is shining on us… I can’t wait to take a walk along the river to admire the fall foliage and have lunch at Decanter with view of the Castle. Sushi, Champagne, tea cakes and chatting until early afternoon. I picked a velvet dress, slightly forties-style, in a very trendy lemon yellow shade, paired with a black and white check coat to tone it down. The whole outfit is by Rose Noir, thanks to Pina’s precious advice as usual. Velvet Mary Janes on my feet with contrasting socks. …

Art Walk

This morning I decided to take some time for myself and visit the Palazzo Pretorio Museum, a treasure box filled with masterworks in the heart of the city. I’m still in the mood for spring! I’m wearing a yellow coat, paired with blue pants and a pair of beautiful yellow Sebastian ballerina flats, without hose of course. Yellow is going to be this winter must-have color!

Vichy-inspired

This morning, I woke up with Paris in mind, as you can tell from my look: cropped pants vichy, last spring’s trends; black cashmere sweater, top hat and striped socks. The perfect Parisian look: a combination of eccentric and minimalist pieces. Tour Eiffel, here I come! …

Return of the Nude Look

The nude look is making a comeback. It was a favorite of the great Yves, who was able to make it sophisticated and chic like no one before him. Culottes and bras become accessories to be naturally shown off, and black makes even a wide tulle skirt elegant. Wear them during the day, never in the evening, and strictly in the most glamourous seaside destinations- Ibiza, Mikonos, Saint Tropez and Forte dei Marmi- you don’t want to be misunderstood! Do you like it?

See-through, but not too much

For lunch at Dalmazia with a new client who is staying at the Hotel Principe, I picked a black-and- white lingerie look which pairs wonderfully with my bicycle and is not too daring. You can catch a glimpse of my culottes through the lace skirt, a beautiful piece that I bought at the local Wednesday street market.

Greenery

For my shopping tour of the Forte’s shops, I was dressed in one of the trendiest colors of the season: green! A breath of fresh air, nearly a small wearable garden. Well-cut Capri pants by Zara, a matching T-shirt with a pop pattern by Marc Jacobs and a Louis Vuitton bag.

Garden-à-porter

For a number of business appointments with some shops in Forte dei Marmi, I picked an eclectic look, a chic mix of several trends: green color, flowers, Jap touches and water lilies suggestive of Monet. All by Stella McCartney, a brand that you can find at Babylon Bus in Prato and at Morini in Forte dei Marmi.

Ruffled by the wind

Like a whiff of air

Lightness: this is what plissé is mostly about. As delicate as an origami fold, I picked a brightly-colored sorbet orange dress down to my feet, leaving only by jeweled-sandals by Mauro Volponi visible. A short walk along the promenade to reach Datcha Beach, where we are greeted by the delicious scent of freshly-cooked fish. …

Stripes Mania

Very thin sailor-style stripes are one of this summer season’s hottest trends. The dress is in light-weight cotton, swirling. The straw hat is the vintage touch that makes my shopping tour of the downtown craft shops even more enjoyable.

Good Morning!

A typical Forte dei Marmi-style morning: breakfast at Bar Soldi with a friend, a stop at the newsstand on the main Piazza to check the latest magazine issues and then straight to the beach for a relaxing full fashion immersion. Even my look is very BCBG: a blue-striped shirt dress by Aspesi, embroidered slippers by Alberta Ferretti and a straw hat.

Sun Yellow

If colors were moods, yellow would be the bubbly joy of a warm summer day. I was all dressed in yellow head-to-toe to go shopping with a dear friend and customer of mine. I took her to Mauro Volponi which, with its four shops, is a true institution in Forte dei Marmi: deluxe and custom-made pieces for an international clientele. My jeweled-sandals are one of his creations.

Sporty

Thursday afternoon. My best friend is coming from Cuba to spend a few days with me and the children at the seaside. To celebrate her arrival, I’m taking her out for a drink at the new Pesce Baracca terrace, close to my house and the pier: she loves tapas and a good glass of wine.

Like the girls

This afternoon, I pretended to be sixteen years old, when I used to buy new things and wear them all together. My assistant was Ines and she had great fun.
