Timeless: animal prints look

Donatella Versace dictates the trend by sending the fashion house’s historic animal prints down the runway. Mostly on outerwear garments with a personality, such as this beautiful trench coat by Baxar deluxe, a new and up-and-coming brand which you can find only at Rose Noir. Paired with the Forte Forte blouse, which takes the legacy from Saint Laurent with its spotted chiffon, and ultra violet pants by Zara. …

Amiable Contrasts: yellow and lavender pink, spring trends

Another creative and casual-looking color combination based on the contrast between two complementary colors, yellow and lavender pink, which is very trendy this spring. The bespoke blouse adds a special touch to the outfit: it represents the beauty of craftsmanship and timeless elegance that goes beyond seasonal fashion trends and leaves room for personal style and expression. …

Outfit - Dalahi total yellow

Yellow submarine: total casual and informal look

It’s one of my favorite colors and it has been super trendy for a couple of seasons now: yellow! A color that I enjoy wearing very often- it really flatters my skin complexion and dark hair. This time I went for a total casual and informal look: a comfortable outfit of skinny cropped pants by Momoni, a PVC raincoat by Aspesi and a men’s style shirt. The must-have accessory? The yellow enameled ring by Celeste Generoso .

Variations on the animalier theme

I love this 80s fur coat that I bought at a vintage shop in NYC. It pairs wonderfully with black, over-the-knee boots and rollneck; or with leather leggings and super-feminine booties. My favorite look is with light-colored jeans and red pumps: the perfect eighties look to enjoy the last bit of winter in style. …

Down jacket: MUST HAVES against the cold

Besides the runways, it’s the street style that dictates fashion trends. Fur, trench and sheepskin coats are wardrobe essentials, but this winter’s must have is the evergreen down jacket. And nobody knows down jackets like Aspesi: ultra-lightweight, warm, mine comes in a powder blue tone, paired with contrasting velvet pants and a knit by Alberta Ferretti which is a favorite with influencers and bloggers all over social media. The hat is a souvenir from a trip to New York.  …

All Grey

For a tour of Florentine master perfume-makers, I picked a grey knit outfit, comfy and chic at the same time. The accessories bring a Bohemian touch to the outfit. My wide-legged Argonne pants pair wonderfully with the Zara sock-shoes matching the light-weight woolen sweater. …

Grey Attitude

Who says that grey has to be dull and dreary. This deep anthracite-grey shade highlights the silhouette like a pencil stroke, with British-style elegance. I adore the cape by Luisa Spagnoli with the frogs in evidence and the play of colors on the shoulders. The Zara turtleneck and sock shoes and the Incotex pants, so graphic-looking, bring out the cape’s fullness. The light-grey handbag by Zanellato is the outfit’s super chic accessory. …

Variations on the grey theme

The Emperor’s Castle serves as the backdrop to this all-grey look, including a very trendy anthracite-grey cape. The knit and pants are pearl grey-colored, with turtleneck, cape and sock shoes in darker shades of grey. The electric blue detail on the bag and cape adds an energizing touch to the ensemble. Accessories are very important: butterfly-shaped frames by Marc Jacobs and a large-brimmed, a bit romantic-looking hat by Cristina e i suoi colori. …

Chic sporty e cult

The raincoat was invented about 100 years ago by Mr. Charles Mackintosh from Glasgow, a chemist, entrepreneur and owner of the Mackintosh factory. I picked a very contemporary version of this cult piece: black-colored, nearly a down jacket with zip closure, to be paired with sporty pants with contrasting bands down the sides by Zara and a cashmere sweater by   Zanone. Very French-style accessories, including a Dior-inspired hat. …

Autumn Palette

This outfit looks simple and sophisticated in the colors of autumn. The nude knit is a plain form-fitting crew-neck sweater by Archivio B, the pants are brown and cropped and in corduroy, which was all the rage on Prada’s and Gucci’s runways. The Alberto Biani patchwork coat sports fancy lapels, blue pinstriped inlays and a beautiful animal print pattern matching my Sam Edelman booties. The handbag is by Givenchy. Shopping at Babylon Bus. …

Morning at the Museum

I just spent the morning visiting the Textile Museum to see the exhibition Whimsy and Reason. Elegance in Eighteenth-Century Europe: brocades and majolica ware, chinoiserie and dentelles, a fascinating and sumptuous world, but also very inspiring. My outfit, in fact, comes in a color palette that is very similar to the textiles on show: kick flare tawny port-colored pants by Guardaroba and a ton-sur-ton Maliparmi blouse with a tiny pattern; the contrasting bow gives a fun touch to the classic ensemble. The Lost in me coat, a beautiful men’s-style salt and pepper-patterned coat, sports a tawny port fur collar. Shopping at Rose Noir. …

Autumn fancies

A few days ago, I received a package from a friend of mine who owns several boutiques of which I am a regular customer. Inside there was a beautiful tapestry jacket that he himself designed for his Babylon Bus shop. I simply adore it and I selected a few pieces that I think will best enhance it: cropped pants and contrasting burgundy-red sweatshirt and the chicest pumps that leave the foot almost completely visible.  …
