FANATIC FEELINGS – FASHION PLAYS FOOTBALL
Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery presents FANATIC FEELINGS – Fashion Plays Football, an exhibition curated by Markus Ebner, founder of the Achtung Mode and Sepp Football Fashion magazines, and by contemporary art critic Francesco Bonami. The exhibition (June 12-July 22, 2018) explores the influence of the world of football on menswear fashion and is held at the Complex of Santa Maria Novella.
CRAIG GREEN, MENSWEAR GUEST DESIGNER OF PITTI UOMO 94
Fashion designer Craig Green from London introduces his 2019 S/S collection in Florence at an exclusive show held on Thursday, June 14. A must-see if you are able to get hold of an invitation: workwear and futuristic volumes, sculptural silhouettes and functional aspects.
ROBERTO CAVALLI, SPECIAL GUEST OF PITTI UOMO 94
The Roberto Cavalli Group goes back to its roots by launching its new menswear project worldwide with a special event: the official preview of the men’s collection designed by Paul Surridge, the new creative director of all the group’s lines.
DESIGNER PROJECT
The Japanese fashion designer FUMITO GANRYU will introduce his independent fashion label at the Pitti Uomo show. The designer, after the experience with the Comme des Garçons group, will reveal the pure essence of his style at an exclusive event held on Wednesday, June 13: a new philosophy of modern & conceptual casualwear.
TWENTIETH-CENTURY MUSEUM & FIRENZE MADE IN TUSCANY
On Monday, June 11, an exclusive cocktail party by invitation only to introduce the new FIRENZE MADE IN TUSCANY MAGAZINE N.47 and the unveiling of the Twentieth-Century Museum’s new exhibition spaces.
THE ELEGANCE OF SPEED
On show at Palazzo Pitti, the photographs from the Foto Locchi Archives: the fascinating history of the car racing world and a passion that changes one’s life. From June 11 to September 16 in the rooms of Palazzo Pitti.
GUCCI
On Tuesday, June 12, Gucci celebrates the opening of two new rooms of the Gallery curated by art critic Maria Luisa Frisa, within the Gucci Garden- designed by the fashion house’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele- housed in the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia, on Piazza della Signoria in Florence. The Gucci Garden boutique presents two new limited-edition items featuring the illustrations by an artist at the debut of his collaboration with Gucci.
MONCLER Genius
The first Moncler Genius project collection- successfully introduced on February 2018 during the Milan Fashion Week- will be launched in Florence on June 13. A live music event, attended by Hiroshi Fujiwara, which celebrates the launching of the collection and will serve as the soundtrack to the Pitti Uomo show.
