Florence, Pitti Uomo 92… or rather, Boom, Pitti Blooms! Because this show’s theme is flowers…
“The flower is a symbol of life, of love, of beauty. The flowers imagined for Pitti are highly revolutionar”. Unprecedented flowers, which feed on imagination and are inspirational and ironic.”
He also says: “Beauty and creativity will save us!” And this is going to be my motto for the next four highly-creative-content days.

Here are my tips. During the day, visit the show to take a whiff of what’s to come. Don’t miss MAKE, the rediscovery of craftsmanship, in the Ronda Hall; the visionary TOUCH, powerful and contemporary; and MY FACTORY, for a privileged insight into the urban scenery. I think I’ll also stop by Hi BEAUTY, devoted to international artistic perfumery.
For the evening, I have a very busy schedule: on Tuesday 13, at 6 pm, I can’t miss the opening of the exhibition The Ephemeral Museum of Fashion, which inaugurates the renewed Costume Gallery. I’ll have a drink at the Gallery and then I’m going home and straight to bed. On Wednesday, my day at the show begins with the fashion show by Federico Curradi at the Bardini Museum and ends on a high note: at 7 pm, JW Anderson, Loewe’s designer, will be sending his own line down the runway at Villa La Pietra, followed by the Radiohead’s concert at Ippodromo del Visarno. Perhaps, I’ll go for a very late dinner at Tabarin, always lively during the Pitti show. On Thursday, a special event in Piazza Pitti: Off White c/o Virgil Abloh, this designer, architect and DJ is going to introduce his work halfway between fashion and design. A must-see!!! Then I’m going to have dinner at Fullin, the latest super glam Chinese restaurant in town.
On Friday, I’m leaving for Forte dei Marmi…
